apf: enforcement and conciliation
The Agentur für Passagier- und Fahrgastrechte is Austria’s national enforcement body and an approved conciliation body. After you have claimed from the airline and been refused (or waited six weeks), you can open a free conciliation procedure online; the apf mediates a settlement and airlines generally comply. easyJet Europe complaints for flights into the EU from third countries also go to the apf because easyJet Europe holds an Austrian licence.
Courts and limitation
The Bezirksgericht (district court) handles small claims. The limitation period is 3 years.
