Flight compensation services compared
Horvera vs AirHelp
This page is not a ranking. AirHelp and Horvera are different products: one takes your claim over and is paid from the result, the other tells you your rights and prepares your claim for a fixed price. Below is what each actually does, what each costs on a typical case, and which passenger each suits.

What AirHelp does
AirHelp takes assignment of your claim and pursues the airline for you, including through lawyers and the courts where it judges that worthwhile. You pay nothing if it fails. If it succeeds, it keeps 35% of the compensation including VAT; if lawyers had to be involved, a further 15% is deducted, so 50% in total. An AirHelp+ membership, paid yearly or per trip, removes both fees for members.
In their words“For each Claim where we successfully obtain Flight Compensation, the Service Fee is 35% of the total Flight Compensation, including applicable VAT. The Legal Action Fee is 15% of the total Flight Compensation, including applicable VAT. It is deducted from your Flight Compensation in addition to the Service Fee.”

What Horvera does
Horvera checks your flight against the EU, UK and Swiss rules for free and explains the result with its sources. The free path already gives you the legal basis, the amount, the airline's official claim channel and the body to escalate to. The claim letter is free too. The Claim Pack, €19.90, manages the claim after you send it: a saved case with a submission-ready PDF package and evidence checklist, sent-date tracking, follow-up reminders you opt into, an analysis of the airline's reply and the escalation route for your country. You send the claim; Horvera never contacts the airline and takes nothing from the compensation.

Who each model suits
- AirHelp
- Passengers who want to hand the whole case over, including court, and accept a percentage in exchange.
- Horvera
- Passengers who want certainty about their rights and are willing to send the claim themselves.
If you want the case taken off your hands entirely, including the risk of court, AirHelp is built for that and its fee reflects it. If you want certainty about your rights and are willing to send the claim yourself, Horvera costs €19.90 whatever the outcome and the airline pays you in full.
